I'm a mom of three who knows how challenging it can be to focus on yourself when you have relationships, children, work, and daily life requiring your attention at all times. The small improvements I've made paid off, and those improvements made me a better wife and mom, a more focused business owner, and a happier, more positive person. As a Personal Trainer, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and author of fifteen health books, I want to provide you with the most up-to-date research, exercises, and nutrition information that will help you improve your health, your body, and your life simply and easily. I've experienced how much a healthy lifestyle can improve every area of your life, and I want to share that experience with you, show you how easy it can be, and provide you with the information, advice, and tips you'll need to achieve the same!

I am always eager to hear questions and comments from my readers, and will always answer, so please feel free to contact me with any feedback!

Every Day Is A New Opportunity to Be Great!

As the annual Summer Break has taken hold of every mom's schedule, it can feel like an almost impossible feat to stay on top of health goals that focused on nutrition, exercise, etc. So, what's a mom to do? Being completely void of any discipline is not an option (out of sheer fear of what the consequences could be!), and being strict and following non-Summer-time routines is not an option either, so being willing to accept every small accomplishment as just that (an accomplishment!) is the best way to make progress in a time that seemingly allows for none.
Bottom line: Do what you can, and celebrate every meal that's clean, every workout that's been fit in, every morning you wake up with energy, and every night you fall asleep happy with your successes for that day,
Being a mom is tough, and having a completely revised routine that blocks out your normal workout time and cleaning eating strategies can make things even more challenging to stay on track.

With a couple of minor diet and exercise staples that require minimal time and effort, you can make progress with time constraints:
-Do 300 crunches (less than 5 minutes!)
100 flat, 100 left oblique, and 100 right oblique. Feed the kiddos breakfast and take advantage of your 5 minutes
-Take your weights poolside/outside (less than 10 minutes!)
Take your weights and do your stationary lunges, walking lunges, squats, and even arm exercises all while watching your kids frolic in their backyard paradise!
-Meals that are clean enough for you!
With every meal that's tailored to their requests, you can prep your own that's tailored to your own standards...even if you have to make your own bowl or plate before adding in their favorite (not-so-healthy) additions!

So, do what you can and do your best at what you can: eat clean at every meal possible, sweat your ass off when you have the opportunity, and relish in the moments that allow you to feel like you did your best!
